This clip shows the Provo and Salt Lake Valleys, both located in the state of Utah. The Mormon pioneers, fleeing religious persecution, initially settled in the Salt Lake Valley before expanding throughout the American west. Church-owned Brigham Young University is located in Provo, Utah.
