1. Mormons can eat chocolate. I consider myself a chocoholic, in fact!
2. Mormons do not have pre-arranged marriages. We pick our own spouses.
3. Mormons believe divorce should be avoided whenever possible because marriage is sacred to us. However, in cases of abuse or other extraordinary circumstances, divorce is acceptable. It's important to remember, too, that there are many innocent victims of divorce, people whose ex-spouses have unjustly abandoned them.
4. Young men typically serve missions for two years when they turn 19. Only older married couples serve missions together; younger, 19-year-old missionaries are always single. Mormons don't usually marry so young. Most Mormons marry in their mid 20s.
5. The LDS (Mormon) Church does not tell its members how many children they should have. If your friend wants 5 children, that's his personal preference, not any rule we have in the Church.
