Joseph Smith was the first president of the Mormon Church. He received a message from God to restore Christ’s ancient church in modern times.
I knew Joseph Smith was a prophet when I prayed about it durring one of the hardest moments in my life to date, and recieved an answer that God is there, he loves me and his earth and all the inhabitance here upon. I recieved a feeling that is difficult to discribe, like a warm blanket of pure love washing over and through your body. In the middle of that feeling I just knew that this church was true, Joseph Smith saw exactly what he said he saw, and that he was indeed a prophet called of God. Joseph Smith was an instrament in forming the church again, and Jesus is the head still today leading it through Thomas Monson. In Jesus' name, amen
I truely believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God for the latter days on earth. I was reading a book about Joseph Smith, the history and how the latter day saints were organized. I cried and tears would roll down my face, I even wept one time. I just felt the spirit and I believe that I saw the light.
