Your website is great. You have done some wonderful research. I am a member of the LDS Church and your information is so useful. Especially the misconceptions. I could have used your answers many times, but now I can send my friends of other faiths to your website.

Hey, your website is excellent!
I haven't been through the whole site yet, but just by looking at the first page it looks pretty good!
Thanks

This is an excellent website. As the only member on my side of the family (my husband and his family are members), I always get asked the questions that you address here. I couldn't have said any of it better myself. Thanks! I am kind of a news/info junkie, so I will definitely send links if I find anything new.

Good work on your website. I have seen other sites set up by LDS church members, that weren't as comprehensive or as accurate as yours. Keep up the Good Work.

Thank you for what you are doing. It is pretty crazy how some people are blinded by ignorance and still attack us. If only they knew the truth about what we are trying to tell them.

This is a really nice site to come upon. Usually I see only sites that are saying that Mormons are evil and that our beliefs are bad. Thank you for using your limited time to make this site!

Way to go. Love the site. Way to take matters into your own hands and follow Elder Ballard's recent mandate to "join the conversation by participating on the Internet, particularly the New Media, to share the gospel and to explain in simple and clear terms the message of the Restoration."

I'm so glad that you've decided to set this site up. A lot of people are confused with the religion and with this site it definitely helps with the confusion, and gets people in the right direction of our true beliefs.

Recently a friend at our church brought a "film" to my attention. Her son apparently was sent a web link from someone. It's a movie clip that has been recently released, or is about to be. I'm not sure. Anyway, it depicts mormons as flesh eating ghouls, and it is just awful. On behalf of myself and my husband, and our mormon friends, I would like to make sure that young people are not subjected to this terrible conception of our faith. Please let me know if you are able to help.

What a nice site! Hope you're doing well in school (I'm a nurse). I'm not of your faith but I have tremendous respect for LDS. Jesus said, "In my Father's house, there are many mansions". So even though I am not of your faith, we are neighbors in His love. May the good Lord keep you and your beautiful wife blessed.

I am a mormon and I think it is great. Some of my friends think I am weird because I dont believe that there is more than 1 God or others think I am weird because they believe that there is no God.
Great site. People can really see what mormons are.

Thank you for creating this site. I have recently got back in touch with an old family friend through facebook. Her religion is displayed as LDS which I knew very little about. I have used your site to educate myself and found it to be very informative. It is very nice to have found a source of knowledge such as this. Although I am by no means active in religion I value its importance in society. I also respect the views and values of all peoples religions. I am looking forward to meeting up with my old friend immensely, the fact that I now know and understand her faith that little bit more has made me a very happy man. Your site has added to the smile on my day so thank you.

I am a 30 yr old female raised catholic and this sat 12/26/09 I will be baptized mormon and comfirmed on Sunday in church. I was so anti-mormon for years even though my fathers (passed away) family is all mormon. My mom, sister and I recently moved from Jersey to Utah and after a yr I opened my heart and gained my testimony. My family is supportive and just wants me to be happy.

I was trying to figure out what to get my friend for his baptism (he's 19), so I decided to use google. What else? I saw a link (pretty much unrelated to what I was searching for, but what can you do? ) and the name of the website made me hesitate a while... But I clicked anyway. I'm so glad I did. Seeing this website almost made me cry. I couldn't believe there was a website that showed the church in a positive light. Thank you so much for this!

I'm from Croatia. I live in Zagreb, in a front of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I want to say that I met missionaries in English classes. They are very polite and fine young people, well-educated. You have to be proud of them. Especially on Elder Matson. They are not aggressive with their religion, which is the most important thing for all of us, who are not Mormons. And they really helped me to improve my English. So, keep up the good work and lots of greetings from Zagreb. PS. I couldn't find official mail on google, so I sent e-mail to You. So, if You have official mail, that would be great :-)
El Santo Gringo: Thanks for your kind words. Your English is excellent! I'm very happy that the missionaries have been able to help you. Unfortunately, I don't have the Church's official email, but you certainly made me happy by sending me your message. :) Have a great day!

I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of L. D. S. And I am married to a Baptist. We have a good marriage because she supports me and my faith because it has only helped me become a better father and man. There are many things that we as humans don't know. But what I do know is that the gospel of Jesus Christ leaves no one out of the plan of happiness. All will have the same opportunities to learn and know of the truth and Gods justice leaves no one out or none behind wee all have the freedom to choose what wee believe, and if we investigate with out prayer wee lack the knowledge of him who knows all things, and you will know the truth from our father in heaven who cannot lie. I came to know these things are true through much prayer hoping for an answer and the answer did come. If you do investigate the Book of Mormon and the church please make prayer a key part of your proses. God bless you all, your friend, Chad N.

Our religion is simple, our religion is kindness. God bless us all on our path to truth may we all seek and find it. May we all learn to love and treat all people as we would like to be treated and to love God and aspire to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ our lord and saviour. www.lds.org

Thank you for your efforts in designing this website. I was blessed to be born into a home who knew the Lord 50 years ago. I recently decided I would read the Book of Mormon, not being active since 8 years of age give and take a couple of teenage years. I had questions immediately pertaining to
horses on the American continent. My Son is obtaining his PhD as an Anthropologist so the truth of these things is very important to me. Because of what I have read on this site, now having a more open mind I can continue to read the Book of Mormon and hope that the Lord continues to bless me. I will say that I know beyond all doubt that the Mormon people have a great commitment to being obedient and obeying God's commandments. I believe in the restored proper priesthood. I feel it's correctness - especially during the Sacrament and treasure the organization of this Church. I share my testimony that I witnessed in 1994 Heaven and Earth become one and watched my Mother ascend into Heaven. God is and Jesus is the Son of God our Redeemer and Savior. God bless you all for your work and diligence. V Scott
El Santo Gringo: Hi V. Scott. Thank you for your kind words. I'm happy that you're trying to rekindle your old faith in Christ's restored gospel. It's such a blessing to be a member of this Church, and it thrills me to think that you're in the process of regaining some of those spiritual blessings in your own life. Reading the Book of Mormon is an excellent start. I also suggest that you
chat with the Mormon missionaries who would certainly be thrilled to reintroduce you to the beautiful truths of the restored gospel.
You can request a missionary visit online. I also suggest that you
learn the address of the Mormon chapel nearest your house online. Please don't hesitate to visit us any Sunday morning (9:00) to remind yourself how we worship! In our community, church attendance is critical for spiritual progress.
I hope this answer helps! Please
contact me if you have any more questions. I'm very happy to help you. Good luck!

I'm just sending my thanks in regards to how helpful your website has been in making me understand the Mormon faith. I have found myself recently trying to get closer to God and Jesus and in particular have found myself being pulled towards Mormonism. Your website has helped dispel some of the negative ideas that have been associated with Mormons and I certainly hope in the near future that people will undertsand that Mormons only want to help people live fuller lives. As of writing this I am still not quite ready to call upon the Missionaries - there are a few things that I still need to get my head around - but I will continue to use this website and LDS.org to further guide me along my way. So once again thank you - and God bless.
El Santo Gringo: I'm very happy this site has helped you, Nathan, and I hope you'll continue to post any questions you might have. It's very kind of you to let me know that the site has been helpful. I put a lot of work into it, and I don't always know what kind of an impact it has. But if it's helped you, it's definitely been worth it. :) Best of luck.
Comment by Nathan 8-29-2011, 12:54:03 AM
Nathan, the quickest way to leaving the Church is to join it before you're ready. Just keep the questions coming, cuz I guarantee there's nothing you can come up with that *somebody* can't answer for you. :-)

El Santo Gringo: Hi friend. I'm happy you have such good feelings towards the LDS Church! If you're not already meeting with the missionaries, I invite you to
contact them. You can also
learn the address of the Mormon chapel nearest your house online. Please don't hesitate to visit us any Sunday morning (9:00) to see how we worship! Mormons love visitors. :)

I was doing research for a debate case about Mitt Romney's religion and his campaign, and I came across this site. The first article that popped up was called "Top Ten Anti-Mormon E-mails" or something to that effect. Curious, I started reading. I have the utmost respect for the LDS church-- my closest friends are all Mormon and they have the greatest respect for my Catholic beliefs. Anyways as I continued reading, I was greatly disturbed by what was written. I actually felt RESPONCIBLE for what certain people had been writing, expecially people of my own faith. I'm young, but the most important lesson that I've ever learned was that, when concerning any religion, 90-plus-% are good. They show respect and reverense toward others' beliefs and usually receive the same treatment in return. However, there are those who's loyalty to God goes a little too far, and turns into a dogmatic speil. I'd just like to let anyone who cares to know, I've never heard any good Catholic say a bad thing about their Mormon neighbors. Those who truly understand the religion and its teachings find that its very nearly the same thing.
I just wanted to get that off my chest... God bless!
El Santo Gringo: Hi Anonymous. Thanks for your comment. Don't worry one bit about what other people have written. We all know that any large group of people (be they Catholics or Mormons) have some fringe members who say embarrassing things. They do not necessarily reflect the feelings of the larger group. I have Catholic friends as well, and they are kind people. In fact, there's a
long history of friendship between Mormons and Catholics. Best of luck to you.
