When you refer to an ideal perfect couple, but in reality only one of you is perfect, I must assume that the perfect one is the wife.

Webmaster: Of course!

In your section on the beliefs of the Trinity you described all the Godhead as having a physical body. Mormons do not believe, however, that the Holy Ghost has a body. I don't know if that's how you said it or not but that's what I got out of reading your article. Thank you so much for putting up this web site. It's so awesome thanks!

Webmaster: Thank you for your encouraging words and your important clarification.

This is a great and an inspired page. It shows the truth about Mormons. Thank you for being there.

Thank You SOOOOOO much for this website! I have a friend at school, and she is totally anti-mormon. It's reassuring to know that there ARE websites out there, non-church funded, that don't spread lies about Mormonism. I had to see where she got all of the horrible things she did, and it wasn't very hard. Just ask Google! I was feeling incredibly depressed until I saw your page. It's really sad how people manipulate the church, and I really appreciate you helping spread the truth! YOU ARE AWESOME!

Thanks lots for this website. My boyfriend is Mormon, so this really helps me understand him better than to ask awkward questions!

This is all very interesting to me, I have had a friend for the last twenty years who is Mormon, and never really understood how and why she chose to worship God the way Mormons do. Thank you.

I love your site! I'm not LDS but I am a "mormon enthusiast" and have been toying for a long time with writing a thesis on the misconceptions of mormonism.

I have an extensive work that I either completed or abandoned a few years back. It deals with many misconceptions, but particularly deals with the anti-mormon brigades oft-repeated lies. If any of it is useful to your site, I am pleased to send you a copy of it in ms-word.

Let me know if any or all of it is of interest.

Rb

Webmaster: I'd be very interested! Please send it my way. :)

I really enjoy reading other peoples comments and it fills me with joy that non members take the time to come to sites like this and leave there insight.

Being a teenager and having to deal with different views constantly some even hostile all I have to do is turn my cheek even thought sometimes it can be really hard when you get statements like "your going to hell," but we are always judged by our actions and retaliating does me and the other person no good.

This site it great! I'm happy to see another LDS member who is trying to clear up the many misconceptions that people have for us. Another one that you might want to add is that people think that we believe the Book of Mormon is a replacement for the Bible. In reality, the two are meant to be used together and the Bible supports LDS doctrines. :)

I'm glad you talked about "worshipping Joseph Smith". I think a lot of people get so confused because we put so much respect in this first prophet. Ultimately though, we must remember that Joseph Smith is not God. God is who we worship. Joseph Smith just happens to be a favorite amongst members :)

Webmaster: Well said, Kendra. It's a mystery to me how anyone who claims to understand Mormonism could ever suppose that we worship Joseph Smith.

Thank you so much. I have been searching for a website I could send my friends to if they had questions I could not answer. Thankyou so much for putting this up

Thank you so much.... I just love the mormons... They're the most decent people I've ever known.. Thanks for clearing up some misconceptions... Atleast now I fully understand them and love them better and become interested with them and their doctrines...

El Santo Gringo: Hi Eugene. I'm very happy that you have a high opinion of Mormons and that you're interested in Mormon teachings! I love being a member of this Church. My relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important thing in my life.

If you ever want to learn more about Mormons, I suggest that you chat with the Mormon missionaries. There are over 50,000 Mormon missionaries in the world who visit people in their homes to teach them more about Jesus Christ. You can also request a missionary visit online. Good luck!

Thank you so much for this site! :) I am explaining to my best friend what we believe and it helps me do so without him getting confused. I am so glad that there are websites like this out there, they are extremely helpful. :d

Excellent job of trying simply to explain a difficult subject. As a long-time pastor and teacher of comparative religion I find it refreshing to see modern-day apologetics so well done.

El Santo Gringo: Thank you for your kind words, Pastor Rob!

The site is wonderful, I am constantly offering my testimony online to not just anti but to others and it is nice to write to fellow believers for once. I believe in God the Father and his son Jesus Christ. They gave me life and then changed it for the good. The Book of Mormon is without a doubt the word of God

Thanks for your thanks. You might be interested to know that tomorrow I am doing a sermon titled "The Book of Mormon." I would guess I might be one of the strongest defenders of the Church who is not a member. I had the good fortune of living in Utah for a period of time and became acquainted with President Hincley when he was still an assistant to the first presidency, and also met and dearly loved President Kimble. Truly a man of God. I will love and revere him as long as I live. I also had a long-time academic relationship with Truman Madson, one of the finest minds of our time. How blessed I have been. Just as an aside, my two oldest daughters are BYU grads. Blessings on you.

I grew up in the Pentecostal Faith and I still believe its a awesome religion. However, I read the History of Joseph Smith a ladder day prophet for the 1800's a (prophet comparing to Moses of the OT. God called him to restore the gospel after 100's of years of Apostasy. This book enlightened my soul and heart and I believed every word of it. I see happiness and excitement in all Mormons that I am acquainted with. The Ladder Day Saints of Jesus Christ believe in the spirit, Holy Ghost, healing, laying on of hands for sickness, fasting, in-water baptism, repentance and big on charity, This religion just makes sense! I wonder about something all my life about people that lived during the days of Apostasy that never heard the name Jesus Christ, so now I know what a wonderful life they can now have in the heavenly eternity. The Mormons believe that all religions are going to heaven. www.allaboutmormons.com and misconceptions. I do know there are LDS churches every mile or so in the Western States or large cities and the Southern States is where the misconceptions are. So this is the reason I voice my opinion.

El Santo Gringo: Hi Helena. I'm very happy you're interested in learning more about the LDS faith! You are right that there are many awesome teachings and practices in the Pentecostal Faith. If you decide to join the LDS Church, you should keep those teachings from your Pentecostal background that are true and uplifting. One of the great things about the LDS Church is that it is constantly infused with exciting new people who choose to convert. I hope, if you decide to join, that you will bring the energy so common in Pentecostalism with you! Are you already meeting with the missionaries? Best of luck to you.

I would like to make it very simple about being Christian. To be a Christian is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal lord and saviour having faith in the Lord and trusting him and leaning on the Lord thru his grace. Having a personal relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ thru the blood of Jesus Christ. The beautiful thing about Gods children is you can have a personal relationship with Heavenly father and Jesus Christ regardless what denomination and religion you are in. We all may worship God differantly and have our own personal treaditions and customs within our heritage but we our all under the same Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ rather we are roman catholic, protesrtant, mormon, jewish, islam, etc.

I came to Independence almost 30 years ago to find a church family that really cared, and with the LDS church in mind. Even though I still struggle with it and my former faith (Catholic), I must say that the LDS friends I have made and held onto through the years are the most caring people I have ever known. The anti-Mormon lies I hear occasionally are truly disturbing because I don't always know how to respond. THANK YOU for your websight! Gary

The best way to answer to critics of the church which is anti mormon is to study and search the scriptures daily like the bereans of old. John 5:39. Study all scriptures the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the doctrine and covenants, and the pearl of great price. The best books to read are Jesus the Christ by James E. Talmage, the new articles of faith by bruce r mcckokie, a marevelous work and a wonder. By lee grand richards, the vision by h. Lundell, the doctrines of salvation volume 1 2 and 3. There are plenty of pro mormon sources that can rebuttal anti mormon arguements. I highly strongly recommend the book they lie and wait to be decieved volume 1 2 3 and 4 by bob and rosemary brown. Their is also fairlds.org foundation apolegtic research lattewr day saints which is a non profit organization that specializes in responding to anti mormon arguements. I used to be an ex anti mormon critic of the church until I read pro mormon sources and studied the scriptures and prayed to our Heavenly Father thru the Lord Jesus Christ for wisdom and understanding. I know the restored gospel is true in my heart

Oneic of the biggest anti mormon arguements against mormons is that mormons arent Christians because they arent born again Christians. If mormons werent Christians then Jesus Christ wouldnt have been the main central message in the church. Reading the Book of Mormon confirms and validates the holy Bible. If mormons werent Christians then mormons wouldnt be having anything to do with Jesus Christ as their main central message of the gospel. If mormons werent Christians then their pratices would of been fully the opposite of Christianity such as pantheism, mesmerism, dowsing, channeling etc. Mormons are chhristians because they belive in the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal lord and saviour. They have faith in the Lord, they believe inb repentance and baptism and recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost and they believe theirs no other name in heaven to be saved accept thru Jesus Christ. Mormons believe you have to be born again which mosiah chapter 5 mentions in the Book of Mormon and john chapter 3 in the holy Bible
