Answer this Question

Hi friend. When Mormons refer to the “living prophet,” they are almost always talking about the president of the Church, currently Thomas S. Monson. Technically, all members of the leading councils of the Church, both the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, are called as prophets, seers, and revelators, so, in a sense, there are 15 living prophets.
Richard from Provo:
Short answer: we have one man sustained as God's prophet today, Thomas Monson, he holds all the keys of ths dispensation. Other then he we sustain 14 other men called of God and we also sustain them as "prophets, seers, and revelators".
