I am a person with type two diabettes, could I still take my medication to control my blood sugar and be a mormon?

Hi friend. I'm very happy you're interested in becoming a member of my church! Being a member of the church is a wonderful spiritual journey that helps bring us closer to our Heavenly Father and his divine son, Jesus Christ. I cannot express in words the gratitude I feel for the many spiritual blessings I've received through Christ's restored gospel.

Some people confuse Mormonism with other religions, like Christian Science and Jehovah's Witnesses, that are opposed to certain kinds of medical treatments. Fortunately, Mormons fully embrace modern medicine. In fact, one of our global leaders (one of the 12 apostles) was a world-renowned heart surgeon prior to dedicating himself to full-time church service. I myself am a Mormon medical student, so I know a little bit about the intersection of faith and medicine.
