The Angel Moroni, who had an important role in the restoration of Christ’s ancient church in these modern days.
Hi friend. It's because of the scripture in Revelation 14:6-7: "And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."

Mormons believe John's prophecy in these verses refers to the Angel Moroni, who played a critical role in restoring Christ's ancient gospel in our latter days. The statute of Moroni on top of many of our temples is a reminder and a symbol of that restoration. Hope this answer helps!
