Hi. I want to be a member of the church but I have dreadlocks. I don’t smoke, I don’t believe in strange things. I just want to get on the right spiritual path that God and Jesus Jesus Christ have set for me. Will you guys accept me with my hair? thanks.

Hi Francisco. I'm happy that you're interested in becoming a member of the church and that you have such a sincere desire to follow God and Jesus Christ. I love being a Mormon Christian, and I always get excited when others express interest too. Life can be hard for everyone from time to time. Faith in Christ has been a great anchor for me, bringing stability into my life despite the challenges. I hope you find the same kind of spiritual peace.

It is true that most Mormons don't have dreadlocks, but there is nothing in our doctrine that would prevent a member from adopting that kind of hairstyle. Of course there are people who judge dreadlocks unfairly, both inside and outside the church. But most people don't really care how others choose to do their hair.

In general, Mormons do prefer a clean look, as a way of showing respect for the bodies that God has given us. There are many ways to wear dreadlocks, including ways that may not send this important message. However, as you well know, some dreadlocks hairstyles are very respectable and attractive.

I wouldn't worry too much about your hair. The gospel is for everyone. I hope this answer helps.
