Jesus Christ was Himself baptized in the Jordan river to provide an example for each of us. (Reflections of Christ)
Hi brother. Congratulations for your decision to be baptized! I love being a member of this church. I hope you find the same joy in this wonderful religion.

I've never heard that one need include the name of an ex-spouse on a baptismal record. I can't imagine why that would be necessary. You might want to double check with the missionaries who are teaching you, but I don't think mentioning your ex will be necessary.

Let me know if you have any additional questions. Happy to help.

That question is on the baptismal paperwork, but I'm pretty sure that's just record-keeping, similar to the information we put into Ancestry. It's family tree information. But I'm not sure that you HAVE to put that information in. I would check around the questions and answers at, but it might be simpler to just ask your bishop. The missionaries might know as well.

Congratulations on this beautiful and exciting journey! I know I don't know you, but I'm SO happy for you!
