On the left is the Relief Society headquarters. The Relief Society is the women's organization of the Church. Founded in 1842 in Nauvoo, Illinois, the organization, with the motto "Charity Never Faileth," today includes more than 5.2 million women in over 170 countries.
On the right is the Church Office Building. Built from 1962 to 1972 at a cost of $31 million, the Church Office Building is a 420 ft (128 m) tall, 28-story building that serves as the Church's worldwide headquarters. Its two observation decks on the 26th floor are open to the public. (Ref)
