Hi Tod. Wonderful that you're planning to attend one of our church meetings! I hope you have a great experience. The people there will understand that you're visiting, so they'll know you don't know all the little details of our customs. I wouldn't stress about it too much! Here are a few things that come to mind that might be a bit different in our church.

1. The audience doesn't usually say anything during the sermon (for example, no one says "hallelujah" while others are speaking). At the end of each sermon, people typically do say "amen."

2. We don't typically clap during our religious services, even after musical performances.

3. Clothing isn't that big a deal, but we typically try to wear more formal clothes at church ("Sunday best") as a way of showing respect. But many folks don't have formal clothing, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

I'm sure your relative would also be very happy to chat with you more about what to expect! I hope you enjoy your visit. I'm very grateful to be a member of this church, and I'm always happy to hear when others are interested in learning more. Take care.
