After visiting temple square yesterday, I have thought about the Mormon religion a far bit. As I sat down in the square I was approached by two young Mormon girls. They were very polite and Interested in what I was doing there. I told them I was travelling around the world and I was there to learn a bit about the Mormons. As I was in salt lake city. They asked me about my beliefs and what I thought of their religion. They were very passionate in their beliefs but explained It in a very peaceful and encouraging way. I was with them for about an hour. They gave me a Book of Mormon and I have started to read it. By no means will I take up a religion or further more become a Mormon. But there religion interests me with their worth and what they do with it. I hope It gets used for good rather than just promoting their beliefs. I will find out and perhaps write another post.

Hi Robert. I'm happy to hear that you had such a positive experience with our missionaries. Yours sounds like a very interesting story! Traveling the world, learning about local cultures and religions.

I can certainly sympathize with your interest in other religions. I also enjoy learning about other faiths. In fact, I just visited an Assembly of God church in Fiji last week. They worship in a way that's very different from the Mormon way, but it was a fascinating experience just the same. You can always learn from people, even if you don't end up agreeing with every aspect of their theology.

I hope you similarly enjoy studying Mormon beliefs. It's excellent that you're reading the Book of Mormon. Please do let me know if you have any questions about anything. Our online missionaries might also be able to help.

And please also feel free to post a follow-up comment, as you suggested. It would be great to hear from you again.

I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The teachings of Christ that I've received in this church have been such a rich blessing in my life. I hope they can bless your life too as you take the time to learn more. All the best.
